Mandalas stained with a combination of teas, fruits, vegetables and traditional art media highlight the simplicity and beauty of nature's palate.
The use of natural colorant varies for each mandala; to make the distinction, only mandalas painted with 51% or more natural stains present "Tea" in its name.
The use of teas, fruits, and vegetables in painting would continue with the Buddha Mandalas.
Twelve of the teas were created the summer of 2008; the collection flowed quickly onto paper over a 2 month period. Three would earn a feature in Natural Communities Magazine later that Fall.
